List the goals of the activity:

Exercies all modes of operations; Exercise LUH station; Exercise Longmont EOC Station;

Were those goals met: (Y/N)

Y

Explain:

Packet comms between EOC - LUH, LUH - Scene, Scene - EOC; ATV set up between Scene and EOC via Repeater

What went well?:

ATV and Packet stations were up and running; rapid response; ATV and Packet kits are pretty much self contained alone and ready to go.

Areas needing improvement:

Better marking of gear in cache and checklists to help ensure all the proper gear was taken; Our integration into the ICS structure, specifically w/r/t/ our forms; Increased quality and readiness of gear (specifically portable packet sets).

Lessons Learned:

Packet node is difficult to get into from just south of Longmont airport. Portable ATV is not strong enough to reach the Longmont EOC from the West side of Longmont. City comm forms are not conducive to the ICS structure and are expected to change; Longmont FD reported difficulty communicating with Fire teams at the scene, and frequency interference with other counties - although there were many ham radios and repeaters providing coverage for that area.

Additional Training needed:

1) Need more packet practice
2) Need more Chat. ATV repeater practice
3) Need more practice deploying portable ATV repeaters to increase range of Roving ATV units

Ideas for future exercises:

None listed

Comments:

1) Packet3 is DOWN with a failed computer and intermittent power connectors.
2) Longmont EOC has a BCARES TV without a remote - and is not in Cable Mode
