List the goals of the activity:

Evaluate communications to JeffCo EOC command center using HF and VHF via direct communications, repeater and NVIS, from various locations throughout the county.

Were those goals met: (Y/N)

Y

Explain:

We were able to evaluate our communications from various locations throughout Jefferson County. This was done from mobile and pedestrian units over varying terrain.

What went well?:

Good turnout, clear directions on what the onjectives were and where we were going to implement communications. Frequencies were pre-assigned.

Areas needing improvement:

Command center operators need headsets to ease ability to hear operators, especially over HF, and not interfere with each other. We also need to rearrange the configuration of our command center at the EOC to make operation more efficient.

Lessons Learned:

Need to verify on a regular basis that command center has comm plan frequencies programmed into the radios. Need for better facility layout and headphones for operators.

Additional Training needed:

See below

Ideas for future exercises:

Should revisit this exercise either later this fall or in the early spring.
