Explain:

D11 BCARES has provided roving video for CU events for many years. We have hauled in equipment each time. CU asked how this could be simplified and improved if they provided funding and permanent equipment installation.

What went well?:

Scheduling and participation of BCARES members. Our knowledge and ability to be flexible and use new equipment.

Areas needing improvement:

A plan before the experimentation would have helped. We planned it on the spot and found that we did not have all the equipment needed. It was obtained at a local members home.

Lessons Learned:

70 cm am video beats all other frequencies for operation in this environment.

Additional Training needed:

None listed

Ideas for future exercises:

None listed

Comments:

We have developed and will communicate a proposal to CU very soon as to what they could buy and install that would make our operation easier and improve video reception.
