San Juan County Sheriff's office provided Incident Command, SAR teams were ground team operations.

Provide Communication at the Mobile Command Center between field teams and incident command via public service radio, amateur radio, and FRS frequencies.

All communication relayed completely and accurately between field teams and incident command utilyzing the appropriate radio service.

What went well?:

All communications performed flawlessly.

Areas needing improvement:

ARES Dist. 4 need to establish an organized call out procedure. As this incident grew, staffing of the com van became an issue.

Lessons Learned:

Utilize all means of communicatio as appropriate.

Additional Training needed:

Basic Ecomm and NCS training recommended for all Dist. 4 members.
