Were those goals met: (Y/N)

Y

Explain:

We set up tables with a tent and equipment to demonstrate Voice, Packet, HF, HF Digital, ATV, and various other modes. As people came by we showed them this equipment in operation and explained how it would be used during an emergency to suppliment our served agency communication.

What went well?:

Basically everything worked. We gave effective demonstrations and were well received.

Areas needing improvement:

It rained - that was before the event started and it caused some difficulty. It would have helped to have more members there. We had some difficulty with the packet system and got it worked out.

Lessons Learned:

Be prepared for weather events (we were but it could always be better).

Additional Training needed:

The members that wupported this event were well trained and showed our capabilities well.

Ideas for future exercises:

None provided

Comments:

This is a great event to show the public and served agencies what we can do. We got very good comments, particularly from our served agency representatives. Multiple police and fire personnel saw our capabilities and had not been aware of how well trained and capable we are. Several follow on meetings are no being scheduled to follow up on this.
